Thru the Chute
The Thru the Chute Boat Race & River Expo is a cardboard boat race held annually at the New Braunfels City Tube Chute. Competitors launch their handmade cardboard boats through the Chute as spectators cheer them on. Between races, guests are encouraged to participate in educational and imaginative activities hosted by event partners on the banks of the Comal River at the City Tube Chute.

Saengerfest
Join us for Saengerfest in the heart of Downtown New Braunfels! This free festival features live music, family activities, downtown shopping, and food vendors, plus sampling and sales of wine and craft beer!

Fourth of July Parade

Comal River
The Comal River, a spring-fed waterway with a year-round temperature of 70-72 degrees, is ideal for floating in New Braunfels. Tubing begins near the Wurstfest grounds and flows through downtown and Schlitterbahn Waterpark, covering just 2.5 miles within the city limits, making it one of the shortest navigable rivers in the U.S.
